Corporate Fashion Sense Of The Company

Corporate Fashion Sense Of The Company

Workwear in uniform style has been a rather double-edged sword in recent years. While many feared “standardization”, others were convinced of advantages such as a sense of togetherness and identification with the employer. It is clear that corporate fashion is an important component of your corporate identity. The uniform workwear strengthens your company and underlines your corporate philosopher. Corporate fashion has many advantages.

Why corporate fashion is important for your company

Workwear in the colours and style of your company underlines your corporate philosophy. It is part of your corporate identity. Especially in the service sector, but also in trade or in the manufacturing and processing industries as well as in the craft trades, an external impact that is easily memorised is of great importance. Your employees promote your brand, the uniform appearance strengthens your image and your team conveys unity.

Your employees are easy to recognise for business partners, customers, guests, patients and other visitors. Each of your employees represents your company and your brand. They are easy to distinguish from other companies in your industry, because workwear also makes you unique. But the uniform appearance as a company is also associated with seriousness and credibility.

Corporate fashion as workwear is not a privilege of large companies. Especially as a small and medium-sized company you can benefit from the advantages of uniform workwear.

“One for all and all for one” – Corporate Fashion makes you strong
But the uniform workwear does not only make a good impression on the outside. It also has advantages in the company that cannot be ignored. The closed appearance promotes the feeling of cohesion. Employees can identify better with the company. On top of that, nobody has to stand in front of their wardrobe before starting work and think about what they are wearing.

Quality is particularly important when choosing workwear. High-quality workwear that looks fashionable and chic and is comfortable to wear is an advantage and gives your employees appreciation. Practical and comfortable workwear should therefore be part of your company.

How to find the right workwear for your company

When selecting workwear for your team, various criteria play a role. Important are:

  • Wearing comfort
  • functionality
  • corporate design
  • Size and shapes
  • optimal care properties
  • Possibility of reordering
  • individuality

Especially the possibility of re-ordering is often underestimated. Custom-made workwear, which is only available in your company, is unique, but also has the disadvantage that it can often only be ordered at great expense for new employees. You should therefore do without it. Modern modular systems nevertheless give you the opportunity to adapt corporate fashion individually to your corporate philosophy. Small accessories make the workwear appear fashionable and stylish.

What you need from workwear for your company

Depending on the company, you may need different textiles for the original equipment. Consider whether you want to fully equip your employees or whether the apron, jacket or polo shirt is sufficient. An important factor in the selection process is the area in which your employees are to be deployed. Are they only working indoors or are they also working outdoors? The equipment of the employees must depend on this. Craftsmen absolutely need an outdoor jacket in addition to their trousers and T-shirt. In the service area of a restaurant this is usually not necessary. The chef absolutely needs several aprons and jackets to be able to be seen by the guests in the kitchen even after a hard day’s work. Every company is individual, there is no general shopping list for the start.

Nevertheless, there are a few guidelines that you can adhere to if you want to equip your company with workwear:

  • Shirts, polo shirts and tops – for every working day one + 2 x reserve
  • Jackets and sweaters without skin contact – 3 pieces + a reserve
  • Jackets for outside – one to two pieces
  • Clothing that comes into contact with the skin or quickly becomes soiled should be available in sufficient quantities.

If your company has different areas, it is worth considering corporate fashion separately for each area.

Advantages and disadvantages of elastane

Clothes that are too tight are only sometimes advantageous. The wearing comfort becomes more pleasant when there is a certain amount of stretch. However, the material should not have too much stretch, otherwise the clothing will quickly lose its shape and the body will sweat more quickly. 3 to 7 percent stretch is optimal. Today, the stretch percentage is usually achieved by adding elastane.

But what exactly is elastane and where does it come from?

Elastane (or Lycra or Spandex) fibers were introduced to the American market as Fiber K in 1959. Elastane is a man-made fiber (synthetically produced). Due to their polyurethane content (approx. 85 percent) they are elastic and dimensionally stable.

How is elastane used?

Elastane is always used with another material, such as cotton, polyamide, polyester or viscose. Elastane, for example, makes the cuffs of pullovers nice and flexible, tops become figure-hugging and nestle better, the same applies to jeans and workwear becomes comfortable. But even with fitted sheets, for example, an elastane content is an advantage.

What needs to be considered when caring for elastane?

When caring for clothes and underwear with elastane, you don’t have to pay too much attention, but the fibres break at high temperatures, which is often visible as white “threads”. In most cases, garments may be washed at 40 degrees. Fabric softeners should also be avoided so that the fibres retain their elasticity and do not crack. Of course, a look at the washing label is always helpful.
